Our Viskan spas weigh up to 2 tonnes when filled. So it’s extremely important to check the solidity of the ground on which you’re going to have your indoor spa delivered and installed.
We recommend that you seek the expertise of a building engineer if you wish to install your spa in an existing space. Otherwise, be sure to plan for a reinforced slab during the construction of the room that will house your indoor Jacuzzi. Above all, don’t take any risks, or you’ll end up on the floor below!
According to conventional construction standards, a slab is designed to hold an average of 250 kg per m2, whereas a Viskan spa like the Léman (link), which measures 2.30m x 230, once filled, easily approaches 450 kg per m2.
For recessed or semi-recessed spa installations, the support should typically be square-shaped and include a minimum 60 cm useful space all around the spa, to allow installation of the jacuzzi as well as any maintenance and replacement of spare parts during the spa’s life.
In our opinion, the icing on the cake for an indoor spa with a view of the outdoors? The veranda! Installing your Jacuzzi spa in a veranda gives you a beautiful view of the outside, while keeping you warm all year round. The perfect space for relaxation and well-being.
