Spa Jacuzzi Indoor Home

Would you like to furnish your indoor space and enjoy moments of cocooning? You don’t have the outdoor space or the desire to install a swimming pool? Why not create a relaxation area with a spa right in your own home?

A private Jacuzzi in your own home, with bubbles and relaxing jets, is a dream come true!

With a jacuzzi inside your home, there’s no need to go outside and brave the cold in winter before enjoying the rewards. With an indoor Jacuzzi spa, you can enjoy the direct benefits of hot springs and spa massages for body and mind.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE INSTALLING YOUR INDOOR JACUZZI!

The floor

Our Viskan spas weigh up to 2 tonnes when filled. So it’s extremely important to check the solidity of the ground on which you’re going to have your indoor spa delivered and installed.

We recommend that you seek the expertise of a building engineer if you wish to install your spa in an existing space. Otherwise, be sure to plan for a reinforced slab during the construction of the room that will house your indoor Jacuzzi. Above all, don’t take any risks, or you’ll end up on the floor below!

According to conventional construction standards, a slab is designed to hold an average of 250 kg per m2, whereas a Viskan spa like the Léman (link), which measures 2.30m x 230, once filled, easily approaches 450 kg per m2.

For recessed or semi-recessed spa installations, the support should typically be square-shaped and include a minimum 60 cm useful space all around the spa, to allow installation of the jacuzzi as well as any maintenance and replacement of spare parts during the spa’s life.

In our opinion, the icing on the cake for an indoor spa with a view of the outdoors? The veranda! Installing your Jacuzzi spa in a veranda gives you a beautiful view of the outside, while keeping you warm all year round. The perfect space for relaxation and well-being.

Ventilation

You need to bear in mind that your spa, whether floor-mounted or built-in, will be heated to an average of 37°C, and that it will give off a lot of water vapor and humidity, which can cause a lot of damage to your floor, ceiling and walls.

Use a hygrometer, as you would for saunas, to know the humidity level in the room at all times.

If you’re in the process of creating a wellness area in your home, consider water-repellent floor and wall coverings, so they won’t be affected by humidity. Tiles and earthenware are often ideal. It’s not for nothing that hammams are equipped with them. At the very least, you’ll need a window to ventilate the room.

Finally, we recommend the use of a manual or electric dehumidifier, especially if the room is not connected to a good ventilation system. In fact, the larger and wetter the room, the more powerful and therefore more expensive the dehumidifier.

Water / electricity

Whether you’re installing your spa inside your home or in your garden, it’s mandatory to run a direct power supply cable between the electrical panel and the spa, protected upstream by a specific circuit breaker, fitted with a differential circuit breaker adapted to the spa’s power rating.

Depending on your home, you may choose a single-phase or three-phase installation. In all cases, your power supply must be installed by a qualified professional.

The location of your power line must be in one of the 2 corners of the spa, on the control panel side, and have a minimum length of 4 m at this point.

Water drainage: a floor drain must be installed to evacuate overflow water. A drain for spa water must also be installed.

Whatever your desires, our team will be on hand to advise you and help you choose For the creation of an indoor relaxation area, we recommend 2-3 seater spas as they are smaller and lighter, and will also create less humidity.
