Relaxing in peace and quiet, bathing alone or with loved ones, enjoying the benefits of a hot bath when the need arises… these are just some of the benefits provided by a jacuzzi spa. These are advantages that everyone who opts for a home spa installation naturally wants to enjoy. But before proceeding with this delicate operation, it’s a good idea to be aware of the prerequisites when it comes to the fittings that are necessary and indispensable for theinstallation of a jacuzzi spa. More details in the following paragraphs.
Installing a Jacuzzi spa, yes, but where?
There are two main options:
- Choose to install your Jacuzzi spa outdoors;
- Or a Jacuzzi inside the home.
In both cases, special fittings are required to ensure smooth installation.
Compulsory basic layout
While it’s true that the technical requirements for the basic layout may vary depending on the type of jacuzzi spa and the equipment used, the presence of a water supply cannot be overlooked under any circumstances. The same applies to the electrical supply. Don’t hesitate to contact us for all technical details.
Outdoor Jacuzzi spas
The majority of Jacuzzi spas are installed outdoors. Terraces and gardens are the most popular options. In any case, the outdoor surface on which the spa is to be installed must be reinforced before the spa is installed. This is necessary because of the total weight that the Jacuzzi spa can reach once filled: one or even two tons. To reinforce this surface, a concrete slab is recommended. It should be thicker than 15 cm.
If you wish to install your portable spa on your wooden deck, this is possible, but we recommend that you contact us beforehand.

Indoor Jacuzzi spas
If you’re planning an indoor installation, you’ll need to do some planning. It’s vital to ensure that the chosen room has a floor strong enough to support the weight of the spa once it’s filled. Improper internal installation can cause irreversible damage. It is therefore essential that the floor is properly reinforced. To achieve this, several factors need to be taken into account:
- Jacuzzi spa dimensions ;
- Water volume ;
- The number of bathers and their weights.
- The nature of the structure
Sometimes the dimensions of a portable spa don’t allow it to be installed indoors. We can therefore recommend a wooden spa that can be assembled on site, inside your home.
